The map shows the coastline roughly starting at the mouth of the St. Lawrence near Quebec City, through the Gulf of St. Lawrence, with Canada and Labrador identified to its north, and of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edwards Island to its south. It also includes much of Quebec and parts of New York and the New England states of Vermont, Hew Hampshire, and Maine.
